The Ladies of Carbonado Farm

Our mares have all been chosen as to compliment Moon. They are strong in Red Bud's Rascal and Paige's Echo. We have one mare by Red Bud's Rascal: Taylor's Merry Belle is a direct daughter of the late Red Bud's Rascal, she was purchased from Leon Oliver. She is extremely affectionate and loves to please. She is 15.3 hands tall and well boned. She has very        even timed walk with lots of overstride. She has been used as a riding horse as well as a broodmare with numerous daughters in production at this time; two mares by Paige's Echo; one mare by Chance's Goldust H; one mare by Bud's Sterling Bullet; one filly by Society's Dan Allen; and one filly by Society's Lee Allen.  All of our mares are broke to ride and used extensively before it is decided to use  them for breeding.

We commonly start several horses a year with the purpose of selling them in mind. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of service.

I sold my first Heritage Walking Horse that was a full brother to my stud to a fella in Reno.  Every trial I took that horse to       someone wanted to purchase him, as he was just well gaited and easy to be around.

I bought his brother that was still a stud, and decided to raise my own of this stock.  Let me tell you, one can buy stock to break and sell much cheaper than they can breed and raise it themselves, but I feel that the Heritage Walking Horse temperament is  worth it for all that I ask them to do.

I regularly ride my stud horse with mares and geldings; he has never acted up in anyway.  I have loaned him to people that were having trouble with the horse they were riding  and he never has given one of them any trouble.

Rosella is a direct daughter of Chance's Goldust H.  Her mother, Red Bug Lady Bug is a daughter of Red Bud's  Rascal and also the mother of Society's Dan Allen.  Rosella brings size, bone, and gait along with her as well as her Palomino color.  Rosella has been tested positive for the Agouti Gene, making it possible for us to get buckskin  heritage foals out of her by Moon.

We regularly use Rose to work our dogs when she is not nursing or to far along in foal.  Rosella has already produced foals    for us that are now being used in field trials

Merrybelle comes from the breeding program of Confederate Hills Farm.  She is out of Dictator's Sisroe and sired by the popular Heritage stallion Red Bud's Rascal.  At 15.3 hands Merrybelle has size to go along with her gait and sensible demeanor.  At twenty years old, we decided to run dogs off of her this past winter.  She is extremely smooth and has never been bothered by any of the commotion.  We have been hauling her to field trials with us to run our derbies.

We plan to breed her back to Moon again this summer for a 2011 foal.

Miss Echo originally comes from Brown Shop Road Farms.  Her mother, Red Bud Lady, is also the mother of Bud's Sterling Bullet.  Leon bred Lady to Paige's Echo of Elk River Farm.  Miss Echo is an extremely timed mare.  She has lots of bone, and she is the popular sabino color.  She is a very friendly mare and readily displays her Heritage temperament.

Society's Merridee

Merridee comes from the Confederate Hills Farm breeding program.  She is a direct daughter of Paige's Echo, out of a Chance's Goldust H mare.  Her mother's mother, Taylor's Merry Girl was sired by Mark's Cracker Jack out of Red Bud's Lady Bug.

Merridee combines all the most popular deceased Heritage Stallions with the popular Last Chance bloodlines.  She is a very level-headed mare all the while having lots of fire and endurance.  We commonly haul Merridee with us to field trials and use her for a loaner horse to other trialers in need of a sensible mount that will have all the endurance necessary for a day at a field trial.
